Data processed on this site

The Cloudflare network (every request). Data concerned: browser and device information (user agent), your device's IP address, requested page address, time and date. Purpose of use: delivering the pages of the site and protecting it against attacks and abusive traffic. Recipient: Cloudflare, Inc., which can handle this data in other countries. Retention: as long as the recipient decides.

Log of the web server. Data concerned: bytes sent in the response, your device's IP address, referrer, time and date, browser and device information (user agent), requested page address, server response code. Retention: 30 days. Purpose of use: operating the site, tracking down faults and keeping it secure. Recipient: the hosting provider of the site's server.

Only when a request fails does the error log record the requested address and the IP address.

Clicks on operator buttons. Recorded only when you click a button leading to an operator's site. Purpose of use: taking you to the operator's site and counting referrals. Data concerned: the site, click identifier, offer, time and date, server response code, page the click came from, request method, the button you used. Recipient: the host of the site's server.

Routing of clicks. The click server uses your IP address and browser details only for the click itself and does not store them. Purpose of use: routing each click to the right offer and keeping out automated traffic. Recipient: the publisher's own click server.

Data concerned: the button you used, mark for test clicks, page the click came from, result of the automated-traffic check, kind of device, time and date, click identifier, the site, offer.

Country looked up from the IP address. Recipient: the publisher's own click server. Purpose of use: sending you to the offer that is available where you are. Data concerned: country (from the IP address). The country is looked up in a locally stored GeoLite2 database on the click server; the IP address is not given anywhere to do this.

The affiliate programme. Recipient: the affiliate programme of the operator; after your click, the operator handles your data in line with its own privacy policy. Purpose of use: enabling the affiliate programme to report a registration or deposit made after your click.

Data concerned: reference of the transaction, amount reported with the event, currency, the kind of event (registration or deposit), the event status, click identifier. This site passes the programme nothing but the click's identifier: no name, e-mail address, feedback message or other contact details.

Messages from the feedback form. The message is the one field you have to fill in, and we can only reply if you leave an email address; a salted hash of the IP address is used only to cut down repeated sending (spam); the address itself is not stored; you can use the same form to ask us to delete your message before then.

Backups of our database can contain messages too; they are kept for up to 12 months and then removed. Recipient: this site's editors and nobody else; messages are held on our own server and are neither sold nor shared. Purpose of use: replying to what you send about the site once we have read it; the name and email address you give are for that reply alone.

Data concerned: page the message was sent from, your email address (only if you want an answer), your message, a salted hash of the IP address, time and date, name (optional). Retention: 30 days, after which they are deleted.

Never used here: visitor profiling, pixels for advertising, outside advertising, newsletters by email, web analytics, scripts from third parties.
